@@@@The 2nd BWR Operator Training Seminar was held on November 26th and 27th at BTC Fukushima Center.  30 administrators, dispatched from various utility companies attended.  It was well attended and ended successfully.

This goal of this seminar was to focus on training and new trials that are rooted in "humanity" in order to satisfy BTC customers.  It was composed of four-sessions: BTC activity report, lecture meeting, panel discussion, and BTC facility tour.

In the first session, BTC reported overall BTC training activities concerned with reinforcement of the portions of training rooted in "humanity".  Also reported were the team training evaluations obtained from BTC activities until now, soft skill training currently under development, plant diagnosis during earthquake training, as well as basic operation techniques.

In the second session, Mr. Saso Kunihide of the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry, who has researched the human factor for many years, gave a lecture titled "Teamwork evaluation and improvement makes a personal group into a team". The lecture began by defining the meaning of team and continued by defining a good team, how to evaluate team power, the direction to enhance the teamwork etc. These was done easy to understand,

In the third session, five lecturers including Mr. Saso Kunihide, Tohoku University associate professor Makoto Takahashi, Ph.D, Miyagi Gakuin Women's College associate professor Tomoki Ohashi, Ph.D, Tokyo Electric Power Company Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station Duputy General Manager Saburo Kobayashi and Mr. Kunio Noji of BTC took part in the panel discussion. The discussion point was "how training rooted in 'humanity' should be".  Active opinions were exchanged concerning eradication of human error, reinforcement of teamwork in case of emergency, and daily team management.

In the forth session "BTC facility tourh, the plant diagnosis training which was newly developed was demonstrated.
